Description
Pendleton Point offers a wide vista overlooking the Blackwater River Canyon. Featured is an eastward view that encompasses the park's lodge (top center), the lower two Falls of Elakala (to the right of the lodge), and the river base of the canyon itself. This angle shows a more shallow view of the canyon, as the canyon continues to deepen significantly with river's descent as it continues west. Clouds can be seen lifting off the moist vegetation along the canyon's opposite rim.
Subjects featured: Blackwater River; Blackwater River Canyon; Red Spruce Tree; Pendleton Point Overlook; Elakala Falls; Shay Run;
