Scenic Overlook into Verde Valley and Red Rock Country

Photograph taken at a scenic overlook along the curvy Highway 89A and with Jerome, Arizona around the next bend is this scene featuring slopes of Mingus Mountain opening up with a magnificent view of the Verde Valley below. Many of the famous rock formations around Sedona can be seen from this point and even the distant Mount Humphrey 75 miles (like a faint ghost above the horizon in the center) away above Flagstaff can be seen arching over Sedona's red rock.
