Sweeping Desert Vista and Distant Mountain Grassland

Picture is facing east from near Fish Creek, Arizona and looking out over a valley where the Apache Trail road meanders through the hills before veering left below the distant Mound Mountain rises above the desert and features grasslands (the eerie white color on top of the mountain). Further south of this vantage point Mound Mountain, at 6000 feet, earns its title as a sky island containing pine forest surrounded by desert below.
