Heavy Morning Fog Envelops Baughman's Overlook

A seemingly daily ritual for Baughman's Overlook is to be encased with a heavy fog for the first hours of morning. Misty steam rises from the Youghiogheny and condenses into thick clouds by the time it reaches the heights of Baughman's Overlook. Three times I tried to get a sunrise shot from this spot last summer, before giving up. For all three times the scene was as bleak with fog as pictured above. Baughman's Overlook is a wonderful spot for a view of the Youghiogheny River Gorge and the surrounding mountains.
