Tip of Youghiogheny River Peninsula Lit by a Late Evening Sun

The sun shines through a gorge cut by a small stream in the side of Chestnut Ridge, and illuminates a tip of a peninsula in the Youghiogheny River. The word Youghiogheny literally means "River of many bends" -- and scenes like this one are typical throughout the river's descent from the high elevations of Maryland and West Virginia.
