One of Pennsylvania's most unique state parks is the sand bar known as Presque Isle that stretches seven miles out into the open waters of Lake Erie. A visit to the park in summer will have one wondering whether they're somewhere in the tropics, but the scene changes quickly and by January you'll be wondering if you're lost in the frozen Antarctic. Presque Isle is home to a botanical wonderland with wetlands and wildlife abounding. The park has trails and unique scenes throughout.
