North Fork of the Potomac River's Water Gap
Distant is the bubbly northern segment of North Fork Mountain photographed from the top of the southern segment as North Fork of the Potomac River has sliced through the mountain. The northern segment is sometimes referred to as New Creek Mountain and rises nearly 2900 feet. Impressive outcroppings and cliffs of Tuscarora Sandstone can be found rampant on both parts of the mountain.
