Fall Foliage Scarring West Virginia Mountains
The deep Blackwater Canyon is blistered by various hues of autumn color in early October 2009 in the high country of Tucker County, West Virginia. Photograph was taken from Lindy Point Overlook while looking northeast shortly before sunset. In the high country of West Virginia, autumn scars all trees at once with fantastic fall foliage color as far as the eye can see. Only evergreens were spared from sporting gold, yellow, and red color.
