Fall Foliage Reflected in Pendleton Lake's Misty Water

A stunning display of fall foliage lit by the light of a morning sun is seen reflecting in the misty waters of Pendleton Lake on a frosty early October morning. The mist was blowing and the long photo capture recorded it as a white smear giving the water and icy look. Behind the hardwood trees with autumn color is a stand of Red Spruce trees providing a dark green back drop to scene. Pendleton Lake is a reservoir of water above Pendleton Falls that tumbles hundreds of feet into the Blackwater Canyon in the high country of West Virginia.
