Distant Allegheny Front from North Fork Mountain Cliffs
Picture features Allegheny Front Mountain in the distance as seen from Chimney Top, a part of the Falcon Cliffs (Tuscarora Sandstone) rock formations, on the western top of North Fork Mountain near Cabins, West Virginia. The powerful westerly winds have stunted a Red Pine growing near the cliff's edge as seen below a beautiful evening sky. Picture was taken along the North Fork Trail within the Monongahela National Forest.
