Spring Foliage on Laurel Ridge Slope along Youghiogheny River
Fresh spring green leaves and budding trees intermingle into a nice tapestry of color and texture on a slope of Laurel Ridge that leads down to the Youghiogheny River. The Youghiogheny River Gorge in this area is nearly two thousand feet deep. Picture was taken along the picturesque Youghiogheny River Trail nearly four miles southeast of Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania across the river from the Flats Peninsula at the base of the Laurel Ridge water gap.
