Laurel Ridge's Fall Foliage and the Youghiogheny River
The peak of autumn is shown with vibrant orange and yellow foliage on the lower slopes of Laurel Ridge as it makes a sloped descent down to the waters of the Youghiogheny River in this late October picture taken from along the Allegheny Passage Trail between Ohiopyle and Confluence, Pennsylvania. The extreme difference in elevation creates some stunning views where Laurel Ridge and the Youghiogheny River clash.
