Cascading Waters of Virgin Run in Spring
Photograph taken from a side trail off of the Great Allegheny Passage, a rails to trails, featuring a Virgin Run and a small cascading waterfall this one being about its last before entering the Youghiogheny River near Layton, Pennsylvania. Virgin Run flows nearly two miles and drops almost three hundred feet from its namesake lake making for countless cascading waterfalls like the one featured as it flows through the river hills. Moss covered sandstone rocks and the rich greens of fresh spring foliage also adds to this peaceful evening scene.
