Observation Post Wall before Letchworth's Middle Falls
The Great Wall of Letchworth State Park, New York can be seen leading down to an observation post with the 105 foot tall Middle Falls in the background shortly before sunset. The wall that is almost continuous for the whole length of the sprawling park bounds visitors from seeing most of the worthy views the whole western side of the Genesee River Gorge. In my 18 years of traveling photography I have never found myself as frustrated by park infrastructure as I have at Letchworth. The park's nanny protectionist mentality ruins the unique natural beauty found here.
