English Bay Surrounds Point Atkinson Lighthouse
The Point Atkinson Lighthouse, built in 1875 stands upon a mound of granite rock surrounded by English Bay a Pacific Ocean inlet between the North Shore and the city of Vancouver, British Columbia. Picture was taken in during an afternoon in late July after a fog bank had finally cleared out. Lighthouse Park features a rain forest thanks to a convergence zone where moisture gets trapped against the slopes of the North Shore Mountains.
