Sandia Peak and Mountains above Albuquerque, New Mexico
Picture taken from Sandia Peak, over 10,000 feet in elevation, and looking southeast towards the Spruce and Fir pines covering the Sandia Mountains above the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The climate and vegetation on this mountain is the same as you'd find in Canada while it is surrounded by semi-desert. These mountains can be seen just about anywhere from the city and are often visible in my favorites shows Breaking Bad, and the newer Better Call Saul. While a Tram takes you to the top quickly from the city's edge this time I drove around the mountains and finally up via State Route 536.
