Towers of Superstition Mountain Rock at Dusk

Towers of Superstition Mountain Rock at Dusk

The warm glow of a setting sun provides a nice lighting against the rocky face of Superstition Mountain in this December 26, 2009 picture. While the hoodoos and rock faces shown only reach up to about a thousand feet higher than the terrain, obscured from view are the higher parts of the mountain that peaks out over 4700 feet in elevation. My day hiking took me to the white grassy slope leading up to the solid rock face, just got close enough to touch it.
