Salt River's Theodore Roosevelt Dam from Alchesay Canyon
Holding back the waters of a large reservoir is the 357 foot high Theodore Roosevelt Dam that has tamed the Salt River and provides water storage. Construction started in 1903 and completed in 1911 when it was the world's largest masonry dam and artificial lake. An overlook and picnic area is provided to view impressive dam.
