Dormant Tree on an Island of Granite Dells in Watson Lake
A small dormant tree in winter grows inexplicably out of a granite rock surrounding the dark blue water of Watson Lake in Prescott, Arizona. The bubbly looking pinkish orange granite is an amazing site and made all the more beautiful by the contrast of the water. The lake being five feet lower than normal leaves a bathtub ring of gray on the otherwise rich colored rock. Photograph was taken in the late evening making the colors all the more richer.
