Pillars of Tuscarora Sandstone on North Fork Mountain
Three pillars of Tuscarora Sandstone, a part of an impressive system of cliffs, can be seen in the foreground with slopes leading down to North Fork Valley in the background. The rock cliffs are all along the western edge of North Fork Mountain's summit where severe wind gusts were pummeling me as I took this picture. I found this mountain to be among the most interesting I've run across in West Virginia largely thanks to these impressive rock formations.
