Chestnut Ridge Shadow from Coopers Rock
Chestnut Ridge casts an enormous shadow against its own mountain side at the Cheat River water gap as seen from Coopers Rock Overlook, the surrounding state forest's namesake rock formation. Picture was taken, in early July, within minutes of sunset and features the thirteen hundred foot deep water gap with a rustic balcony at the rock cliff's edge.
