Downstream from Blackwater Falls in West Virginia

Photograph taken along the frothy Blackwater River at the base of the canyon and features the roaring waters of West Virginia's most famous waterfall, Blackwater Falls. Circumventing house size boulders, a steep downhill climb, and rough terrain were required to be in this spot in the wilds of West Virginia. The opposite shore contains a more visitor friendly boardwalk and deck to enjoy the waterfall. Blackwater Falls contains water drained from Canaan Valley and plunges 62 feet into the beginning of the impressive Blackwater Canyon.
