A Distance Back from Tharp Knob's Scenic Overlook

A tree with a striking red cast to its leaves serves as the foreground to this scene featuring a slightly distant view of the Tharp Knob overlook. Sassafras can often be found along the overlook and its lemon scented leaves are no doubt among those on the ground in the picture. Crab apple trees were already bare of leaves when this picture was taken, and there are several of those on top of Tharp Knob as well.
