Wall of Red and Orange Vegetation above a Youghiogheny River Rapid

One of numerous river rapids ahead of the Ohiopyle Falls can be seen with brilliant autumn color seen amongst the trees on Ferncliff Peninsula. The vegetation on Ferncliff Peninsula isn't as tolerant to the cold weather as it contains trees and plants washed down river from the warmer areas of Maryland and West Virginia.
