Description
Large rocks like this one are common in this part of the Youghiogheny, several hundred yards below the great falls. In the background you can see Ferncliff Peninsula. Its different plants compared to other parts of Ohiopyle stand out better in autumn than at any other time of the year. Seeds that wash down the river from Maryland and West Virginia find a foothold here, making its plants quite diverse from the other parts of Ohiopyle State Park.
