Description
The Youghiogheny River takes a twenty foot fall in the heart of Ohiopyle State Park, located in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The Youghiogheny River is a popular one for whitewater rafting, as can easily be derived from such a geological wonder as pictured. Just beyond the great falls is the main launch area for canoes, kayaks, and rafts. On only one special weekend a year are kayaks permitted to navigate the main falls, offering a special treat to the many observers the park receives daily from around the country.
