Slippery Rock Creek at McConnells Mill in Fall

Slippery Rock Creek at McConnells Mill in Fall

Picture taken from a walkway featuring the Slippery Rock Creek flowing over the spillway for McConnells Mill surrounded by some near to peak autumn color. The well preserved spillway glistens white in the afternoon sunlight while fall foliage along the slopes of the gorge are alive with plenty of fall foliage. The creek is named not for the slick rocks that line it but for oil that used to seep to the surface along the course of the stream. This is one waterway that man has left cleaner than he found it.
