Presque Isle Lighthouse with Sand Dune in Evening
The 73 foot tall Presque Isle Light is basking in the glow of a setting sun in this mid May photograph that also feature a sand dune and its grasses sloping to an end in the foreground. The lighthouse was built in 1872 on the northern end of the peninsula. It's a popular attraction along the sandy beach and shoreline of Presque Isle State Park. The trees in the background have only recently come alive with spring foliage.
