Ohiopyle Falls and Sunset Sky Reflected in Youghiogheny River
Picture is peering down the Youghiogheny River with the aid of a 300 mm zoom lens at the Ohiopyle Falls during a spectacular sunset that turned the sky a scarlet red. A long photo exposure has calmed the white water into a smooth curtain concealing its normally bubbly and volatile nature. The peak of autumn serves as a backdrop to the whole scene with hardwoods on Ferncliff Peninsula sporting all manners of fall foliage color. This photograph was taken on some large rocks near the mouth of Meadow Run in October 2009.
