Erratic Blue Limestone Rock in Youghiogheny River
An enormous erratic rock of blue limestone came to rest at a third of the way from shore within the Youghiogheny River at the bottom of the Chestnut Ridge Water Gap. River rocks building up to a small island is in the foreground while fall foliage color begins to grace the sycamore trees in the background. This wild mountain river is no stranger to out of place rocks some larger than a house that often become popular diving boards for bold swimmers.
