Rainbow Arching Over Upper Falls of Genesee River

Rainbow Arching Over Upper Falls of Genesee River

With the sun at my back and the precipice of the forty foot tall Upper Falls in Letchworth State Park directly forward from my position, a most vibrant rainbow from the rising mist was captured. For this shot I had to remove my Singh Ray Gold-N-Blue Polarizer filter as it rendered the rainbow almost invisible. Picture was taken from a trail bridge at the base of the Portage Viaduct that towers over Upper Falls. Irish green vegetation can be seen below the rainbow along the rocky cliff that receives a constant battering of rain from the waterfall's misty sprays.
