Mount Rainier Stands Ominous Above the Seattle Skyline
A quintessential Seattle picture of Mount Rainier keeping watch over Seattle's skyline can be had from Kerry Park perched in the Queen Anne neighborhood. This picture was taken as a warm evening light was cast against the city and the distant volcano in late July of 2011. Snow covered mountains abounded around the city despite it being the warmest part of summer.
