Sonoran Desert Sunset Color at Superstition Wilderness
A late evening December 26 view from along Peralta Road within the Superstition Wilderness of Arizona featuring a number of common Sonoran Desert plants lit warmly by the last rays of a setting sun. A Saguaro Cactus can be seen prominently dividing one of those many nameless mountains in this area with a variety of bushes such as Creote and Velvet Mesquite. This photograph was taken after a long day of hiking in the Superstition Mountains beginning at Peralta Trailhead where I encountered gusty storm clouds blowing constantly through the mountains only to disappear over the valley.
