Lake Side of Theodore Roosevelt Dam Arizona
Picture taken from an overlook that peers down on the waters of Theodore Roosevelt Lake and the water side of the dam with the same name built on the Salt River approximately 70 miles east of Phoenix, Arizona. With the dam's original construction completed in 1911, the lake became the largest man made reservoir in the world. Further expansion on the dam was undertaken in the late 1980s that completed in 1996. Lake Roosevelt is popular for boating and fishing. Picture was taken late in May and towards evening after a rain system was clearing out.
